Glamorous, no. Helpful, yes.
C4C pays for porta-potties around Boulder County in small, unincorporated communities or similar where there is significant cycling traffic. It’s a small gesture that goes a long way towards improving relations between locals, drivers, and cyclists.
For 2024, here’s what’s on tap (ha!).
- Two units in Jamestown thanks to The Sunderland Group and Payroll Vault, April – October.
- One unit at The Mountain Fountain in Hygiene, available, year-round.
- One unit at the Raymond Store Cabins, available, April – October.
- One unit at the Altona Grange, available, November – April, 2025.
- US 36 Davidson Mesa Overlook, available, year-round.
- C4C also helps the Gold Hill Store with their sanitary costs via special arrangement.
- Other? If you’ve got a suggestion, C4C is all ears and thanks!
A small gesture like porta-potties takes a line-item off of a small community’s budget, gives cyclists a place to go, and establishes a minimal relationship between cyclists and locals–thank you for supporting this program!
