Rob Andrew is one of the original co-founders of Cyclists 4 Community. During the day he is a partner at Lockton Companies, the largest privately held insurance brokerage firm in the world. Rob specializes in employee benefits and risk management for companies all over the globe. Early in the morning, late at night, and on the weekends you will generally find Rob out on his bike and active in the Boulder Cycling community. He sponsors and races for the Lockton Full Cycle team, focusing on gravel, mountain bike and cyclocross. Rob also co-chairs Wednesday Morning Velo, Boulder’s pre-eminent networking event throughout the summer for local business people who love to ride and help each other’s businesses. Rob is married to Siga, his wife of over 34 years, and has two daughters, Sidney and Sofi.

Cari fell in love with cycling when she moved to Boulder in her young 20’s. As a weekend warrior, she was looking for an athletic challenge. After a couple years of racing in the local scene, Cari signed a contract to race professionally. In the 10 years of racing around the world representing USA Cycling and her professional sponsors, Cari always craved coming home to Boulder County for the community of cycling friends and multitude of cycling options Boulder provided. She has supported and given back to the local cycling community her whole career starting with creating the Flatiron Flyers Junior Cycling Team, including coaching indoor cycling classes and running women’s clinics. Cari is now a partner of a top real estate team in Boulder, Higgins Kalush Collective with Compass and gives back to the cycling community in other ways including serving as the Vice Chair of USA Cycling Board of Directors, sitting on the planning committee of Wednesday Morning Velo, and helping run a non-profit called Brake The Cycle. Cari is focused on helping Cyclists 4 Community succeed in it’s mission in creating a positive experience for all users of roads and bikeways.

Elorie Slater has led marketing, brand strategy, and community engagement in the bike industry for nearly a decade, working to bring together perspectives from retailers, manufacturers, and advocacy organizations. Elorie has been the Co-Owner and Marketing Director of Sports Garage Cycling since 2016. She has conducted target market research with female-identifying off-road cyclists throughout the nation, and served for three years as the Global Marketing Manager and Brand Strategist for boutique mountain bike manufacturer Pivot Cycles. Elorie has a particular passion for independently owned businesses; she has taught small business branding courses for QBP, and in 2023 brings a new marketing project to Boulder to support "locally owned", with the launch of The Scout Guide Boulder Volume 1. As a cyclist, Elorie's first home is on the trail, but began riding gravel in 2015.

Ed has lived and ridden his bike in Boulder since the late 1970’s. He has been involved in many facets of the cycling world throughout the years. He raced as an amateur, worked with the Coors Classic and toured by bike throughout Europe and New Zealand. After attending CU he founded and operated Cycle Logic bike shops. Ed went on to partner with several cycling component companies. He has served on several boards in and out of the bicycle industry. Currently, Ed owns and operates The KB Studio – a kitchen and bathroom design center in Boulder. Working with Cyclists 4 Community on the Jamestown and Lyons fundraisers has been very gratifying and Ed is looking forward to helping make Boulder County an even better place to ride a bike.

George Gerstle, a Boulder native, recently retired as Boulder County Transportation Director where he led the Department in becoming more multimodal, managed recovery from the 2013 floods, and led development of the first County Transportation Master Plan (and rode his clunker bike to work almost every day). Prior to his time at Boulder County, George worked in multiple roles at CDOT, including Multimodal Planning Manager, Environmental Policy Manager, and other roles in the environmental area. George has also worked for EPA, as Policy Advisor to Governor Roy Romer, for the State Air Pollution Control Division and for the local regional transportation planning agency in Monterey California.

Joseph bought his first bike, used, in 1976 for $2.00. He rode that single speed — pink with tassels — bike up and down west Arapahoe Avenue for much of his elementary school life. Although not a native, he has lived in Boulder since toddlerhood. Since giving up the pink one, he has purchased a few more, and tries to ride every day, year round. Whether that ride is commuting to work, riding up Flagstaff before sunrise, mountain biking on a local trail or on an indoor trainer, he is grateful for the huge beneficial impact cycling has had on his life. After seeing the impact C4C had on the devastated communities of Jamestown and Lyons (where Joseph graduated from High School) he knew he needed to join their efforts and start giving back to the communities who have supported him all these years.

Rob’s best memories from childhood were on a bike, and he continued that tradition when he moved to Boulder in his early 20’s; as a commuter, explorer of mountain roads, and participant in the weekly Boulder Cruiser rides. He has also been on several bike tours, including a journey around Lake Michigan and across Norway’s Lofoten archipelago.

Rob began his career in banking after earning his MBA from CU Boulder and he keeps close ties with the Leeds School of Business. He currently serves as Vice President of Commercial & Industrial Lending at Alpine Bank’s Boulder branch, where he works to finance operating companies in a wide variety of industries. He loves learning about business owners and what they’re passionate about and being a part of the community. While he works and plays in Boulder, his home is in Lafayette, where he lives with his wife Kanmani on their son Kavi.

Matt started with C4C in 2018 as Operations Manager after spending several years as the primary parent in his home. He's been riding bikes in Boulder County for 40 years.

Walter is the CEO of Sovrn, a company that provides products and services to thousands of media companies, online publishers, and creators. With more than 30 years of business and operations management, Walter has been an investor as a Partner and Principal for two very successful venture capital funds as well as Corporate Development for two large public companies. He built and led field organizations for Novell (Nasdaq: NOVL) and Cambridge Technology Partners (Nasdaq: CATP). Walter regularly speaks and writes about media, monetization and data strategies covering online publishing, advertising, consumer data, and online commerce. He holds a Master’s in Engineering from the University of Colorado in Boulder and a B.A. in History from Boston College.

Walter has served on the Boards of Broadly, NetVision, NetPro, Seatab Software, ClosetBox, and Sovrn. He served as board observer of: Plumtree (Nasdaq: PLUM), Arcot, CollabNet, Extricity, and Cohera.

Ingrid Alongi started bike racing in Boulder at the age of 12 in the Red Zinger Mini Classic series. She joined the Zinn Women's Cycling team as a junior and eventually made it on the US Cycling team in high school. She raced full time for a year before heading off to college, where she rode with the CU Cycling team. After a long break, she came back to the sport as a master's racer primarily focused on track racing thanks to the Boulder Indoor Velodrome where she reconnected with many of her old friends. She won several Masters National medals including Team Pursuit, Team Sprint and Individual Match Sprints. She has also held two national records for Team Pursuit (once as a junior and once as a master's racer).

Ingrid has a background in software engineering and is an accomplished tech entrepreneur. She started a software consulting company, Quick Left, in Boulder in 2010 and started participating in some of the early Wednesday Morning Velo rides where she got to talk shop while participating in one of her favorite sports. She later sold the business to Cognizant, where she built a Boulder-based innovation team focused enterprise software products. In 2020, she moved to the investor side of the table at Stage Fund, a control-based private equity group investing in companies that have growth potential.

Semi-native of the area and grew up in Broomfield. Married to wife Lynn and have daughters Ali and Siri. Lived in Boulder for over 35 years. Career firefighter, Captain, Boulder Rural Fire Protection District, 32 years, retired July 2021. Strong ties with the local fire districts and fire chiefs; good working relationships with Boulder County Sheriff Office and Colorado State Patrol.
Love riding the dirt and gravel, and riding west of Foothills Highway. Committed to enhancing cyclists' and drivers' situational awareness for safer roads.
